Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

The objective of the OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management is intended to develop learners’ understanding of policy, management theory and practice in logistics and supply chain management. The qualification provides learners with an opportunity to engage with the challenges facing professionals and policy makers in their own country and provides knowledge that underpins the ability to work as an effective manager in the sector.

Learners will develop and enhance knowledge and skills in the areas of business strategy, procurement, inventory management, risk assessment, supply chain globalisation, contract and financial management, and learn about the factors which dominate how contemporary supply chains are managed. 

The Target Audience for this course is 18+. The Target Group for this course is individuals already working in current Logistics/Supply Chain roles, working professionals in related roles (e.g., procurement, warehouse, freight) seeking advancement or formal qualification.

All units within this qualification are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria.

Successful completion of this qualification will allow learners to work in a variety of roles within logistics and supply chain management and to progress to further study.
