Course on Maltese Language and Culture in Malta
At Cross College Malta, we offer the new Course on Maltese Language and Culture, which serves as the prerequisite for enrolment in the official I Belong Cultural Orientation Course.
Delivered by experienced educators in a supportive and engaging learning environment, this course equips Third Country Nationals (TCNs) with the practical knowledge, cultural awareness, and basic language skills needed to live, work, and integrate successfully into Maltese society.
Cross College Malta is officially approved to deliver the new Course on Maltese Language and Culture. The programme introduces participants to Maltese society, culture, civic values, and everyday life, providing a solid foundation for successful integration.
Successful completion of this course forms part of the eligibility requirements for individuals wishing to progress to the official I Belong Cultural Orientation Course, which is one of the requirements for applying for Long-Term Residence Status in Malta.

1. Welcome to Malta (4 hours)
2. Everyday Maltese Language (8 hours)
3. Living in Malta (6 hours)
4. Working in Malta (8 hours)
5. Rights, Responsibilities & Public Services (6 hours)
6. Culture, Community & Inclusion (4 hours)
7. Integration Workshop & Assessment (4 hours)
Assessment
The programme is assessed through continuous assessment:
• Participation and Engagement – 20%
• Practical Activities and Role Plays – 30%
• Personal Integration Plan – 30%
• Final Practical Assessment/Interview – 20%
Pass Mark: 60%
